Designing with AI

AI as a design material

I don't use AI to replace design thinking — I use it to move faster through the parts that shouldn't slow you down, so more time goes to the decisions that actually require a human. Research synthesis, ideation, prototyping, documentation — AI has changed how I work at every stage.

Philosophy
AI amplifies, not replaces
The best design decisions still require empathy, judgment, and context that no model has. I use AI to handle the repeatable work — so I can spend more time on the thinking that actually requires a designer.
Practice
Prompt engineering for UX
I write prompts the way I write design briefs — specific, context-rich, and outcome-oriented. Getting useful output from an AI model is a skill. I've built that skill intentionally, across research synthesis, content generation, and spec writing.
Frontier
Human-AI interaction design
As AI becomes a layer inside every product, designing how people trust, interpret, and control AI outputs is becoming a core UX discipline. I design for that relationship — transparency, appropriate confidence, and user agency at every decision point.
